Policies for swimmers and families
What swimmers and parents ask before the first clinic.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
What to wear and bring
Any swimsuit you are comfortable in; swim shirts are welcome. Tie long hair back, and bring a cap, goggles and a towel.
In the pool, and watching
A coach is in the water or on the deck beside every lane. Parents of teens may watch from the bench on the deck.
Watching a clinic
Friends and family are welcome on the bench on the deck. Please keep them back from the pool's edge, and keep phones away from the water. Photos of other swimmers are not allowed on the deck.
Absences and late arrival
Text or call if you can't make a clinic. If you arrive late, join your lane when the coach waves you in.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for holidays and when the pool closes, and we tell swimmers by text. A clinic cancelled for the pool is made up in the same series.
Leaving a series
Tell us in writing before a series begins. If life changes in the middle, talk to us; what happens to the weeks that are left is in the series agreement.
When to stay home
Please stay home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and tell us so we can offer a make-up seat.
